Liam ‘The Lionheart’ Bray 1st Dan

Liam started training back in 2006 in the junior class. He’s a very dedicated student who takes his training very seriously. He has shown tremendous courage overcoming his learning and physical difficulties but doesn’t let any of that stop him taking part in all aspects of his karate journey.

In 2023 he passed his 1st Dan Black belt showing true karate spirit, his improved technique and his loyalty to the club. He has recently started to attend competitions where he gives all his effort and has been rewarded with many medals.

Back in 2010, Liam won the Junior Member of the year award for his outstanding commitment and attendance at the club. As well as karate he also practices yoga to keep himself flexible and relaxed.

In his spare time he enjoys playing video games and watching TV & films, especially Doctor Who. He is very interested in History including sunken ships like the Titanic as well as airships/zeppelins like the Hindenburg, he also likes super cars as well as vintage cars.

Liam currently works as a Charity Volunteer.

We are very pleased to have someone so spirited and dedicated to their training in the club. His positive attitude shows everyone that it’s possible to achieve the highest level and not to give up. He has definitely earnt the nickname ‘Lionheart’.
